Picking up my pen…

I was sitting on a chair in the living room. My pen was lying on the table. I reached out my hand and picked up the pen.

I had several pieces of paper in front of me. I looked at one of them for a few moments, then put it aside. Having done so I picked up another piece and looked at it for a while.

Going outside…

I was inside my house and decided that I would like to go outside for a while. I picked up my keys, opened the front door and stepped outside. I turned around and closed the door behind me.

Sitting on the settee…

I was sitting on the settee in my living room. The settee felt quite comfortable to sit on. I continued to sit there for a while.

Tying my shoelace…

The lace on one of my shoes was undone. I knelt down, took the two ends of the lace in my hand and tied them together. Having tied my lace I stood up again.

Boiling the kettle…

I depressed the switch on the side of the kettle. The water began to heat up until it reached boiling point. The kettle then turned itself off, requiring me to take no further action.

Adjusting my spectacles…

I became aware that my spectacles were not sitting quite correctly on my nose. Using my hand I moved them slightly, thereby making them feel more comfortable. This adjustment completed I continued with my activities.

Restarting my blog…

I hadn’t written in my blog for a while. I turned on the computer and wrote a new entry. I clicked the ‘submit’ button, thereby restarting my blog.

I was doing some things. After a while I decided to stop doing them and take a short break. At the end of the break I started doing the things again.
